Description

In The Nexus, you return to the town where your family was tragically killed during your childhood, hoping to start fresh alongside your loyal best friend, Alice, and her kind-hearted mother, Isabelle - the woman who took you in after your loss. Life seems ordinary at first, until unsettling dreams hint that something far more sinister lurks beneath the town's surface. You soon discover that some residents of Sinai Hills aren't entirely human, and some aren't even from this world. While a few are friendly, blending in as students at your school, darker forces may have crossed over, too, bringing with them unknown dangers and hidden agendas.

Together with Alice, you'll unravel the secrets of Sinai Hills, forging bonds with classmates - human and otherwise - as you uncover the truth about their lives in distant realms. Along the way, you'll learn of your destined role in preventing an interdimensional catastrophe. I'm not experiencing any crashes, but I am experiencing boredom. The writing sucks, normally having an MC's family member die should be impactful to the story/characters personality, instead it comes and goes within 2min and you couldn't care less. I usually love long, slow burn stories but I'm about 30min in after which I started skipping everything for about 5min and nothing is happening still, zero hook to it.

ok just passed the prologue and had a quick note what kind of bullshit was that his entire family is in danger yet hes hiding in a closet hes old enough to not let his little sister leave alone yet he stays in there what nonsense hopefuly it gets better
