- KatjablondOkay. That's not entirely true. There are three different types of games: 1. Realistic; 2. Visual Novels (whether 2D or 3D); and 3. RPGs. In the past, 3D games often followed a Visual Novel format as well—but they offered far more choices, allowing me, as the player, to intervene and influence the story to a much greater extent. Back then, you would typically replay a game anywhere from three to six times. But nowadays, games like that just aren't being released anymore. 1. It feels like you’re doing nothing but reading and watching.
