Description
In Powers That Be, a middle-aged man who has had quite a bit of success takes time off from his work to spend time with his shy goddaughter. She has a surprising empathic power that takes her and everyone else by surprise. What's even more shocking is the secret that she's been carrying for far too long. The secret involves touchy subjects that can ruin both of their lives. Along the way, he will have to mingle with interesting people, such as his curvy ex-wife, a sporty stepdaughter, and a mysterious exchange student who seems oddly out of place.

- MuyBwainHuhhhhhhtsOther than the CONSTANT references to Pop Culture (taking up otherwise usable space in the script that could be used to move the story forward), um,... lovely story, captivating, well-written and sexy af.... until you get to the diner scene and drive straight into a brick wall as the girls start talking that jive-ass daddio lingo-talk BS and the Reader (me/you) gets enough 'Member Berries shoved down our throat to give us IBS! You could delete the entire useless scene and it would bring it back up to AAA...

- AVN CriticJust a thought: At Chapter 6 atm, LOVE the game so far. Not to change anything, but, in my head canon, to bring it into the A)real world a bit, Tilly woke up from a coma with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) (formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder), and everybody around her is just narcissistic enough to allow themselves to half-way believe she has powers and/or is, perhaps, taking the excuse and/or perhaps merely 'humoring' her, or B) fantasy world a bit: woke up unaware that she has been possessed by a succubus. She does seem to shift between innocent and suddenly 'rather not' when her 'powers' present themselves. Very compelling! Intriguing 'read', so far!
