Description

In One Day at a Time - Season 1, you and your girlfriend Lydia are heroin addicts. Throughout the game, you meet several other women who you can romance. Are you going to try to get into the panties of these other girls? Sure, you have a girlfriend, but she's a heroin addict. You never know if or when your girlfriend is going to overdose and possibly die. You can be a good boyfriend and stay committed, or you can live out your fantasies in a drug-fueled haze.

Idk about this game, was a really boring start, about 15min in I ended up skipping to see if it gets any better & it doesn't. There isnt anything that really pulls you in & the game doesn't give you any early synopsis of the world, your character, or whats going on. Choices that matter are very few and far between & the dev reused half the games scenes with conversations being in the exact same locations with characters in the same poses.

Not altogether a terrible play, but overall quite tedious. There is no real interesting bits in an otherwise linear storyline. There WAYYY too much internal dialogue, we ::as the MC:: would never HEAR another persons thoughts during sex, just eliminate all that and have them verbalize in a condensed manner. Also, the dialogue during sex is AWFUL. No one calls a dick a spear/pole/etc. Plus please learn the difference between then/than, your/youre, and the like. Plus MC looks like a chode.

  Not to mention the ::choices:: given dont mean much as the dialogue is the same no matter what you pick, it just adds a bit more verbage to make the better choice a bit nicer. Even if you completely ignore Lydia here, you are still stuck with her in part 2. There are no real choices as in what girls you may or not want to interact with or that will affect how things will turn out.

Overall a pretty fun, interesting, and solid game. Some of the choices were pointless cause he just ended up saying both anyway. There were some times where it felt like they were setting up a decision but then it just decided for you. Also, not something wrong with game, wished there was a dark route where you could take advantage and be dominant.

Not a porn game involving a story with some themes, but a story based on harsh reality, that happens to also involve sex, and to be a VN. Writing is brilliant, and its obvious there are countless hours of self questioning just to write what has to be expressed. There are flaws (poses, expressions...), biggest may it is too talkative. Subject is heavy, and despite being very well analyzed it deserves to be condensed like a punch, not diluted. It has the potential to become a gem.

  Also what a pretty smart move to talk about drug addiction by using porn addiction as a way to get diffused. It talks about how dopamine can be the worst making it hearable to addicts by generating dopamine fluxes..., if this isn't smart I don't know what is. I hope there will be some (I said SOME ;) ) lines about how sex can be a substitution to drugs up to become one.

  Probably the developer has a history with hard drugs, maybe personally or someone they're close to. So I don't want to tell them not to do it. The writing appears to come from the heart. But I agree with you, the plight of junkies does not work for me as a setting for a sexy game, it is a very specific setting that isn't going to work for many.
