Mayfly [v 0.2]

In MayFly, the story is set in Devon, the nation's only megacity, where a vast wealth gap divides the shining Uppercity from the decaying Undercity. Executives and elites reside in comfort above, while factory workers, gangs, and triads struggle to survive below.

Ten years ago, an unexplained phenomenon triggered the rise of superpowers, mostly in teenagers. Many, driven by injustice, turned to violence, targeting the elite with kidnappings and murder.

In response, the government passed two controversial laws: the Superpowers Act, which stripped rights from individuals with superpowers and confined them, and the Vigilante Act, which recruited superpowered enforcers to operate beyond traditional law.

Crime fell. Order returned. But peace came at a price. Some Vigilantes now serve their agendas, and with no new superpowered individuals emerging, the public grows wary. Once seen as saviors, Vigilantes are now viewed with suspicion, and calls for change grow louder.

You are one of them. Will you follow orders in a corrupt system or break free and forge your legacy? In a city of masks and mirrors, every choice matters. Trust, betrayal, and survival are all part of the game. Will you burn out like a mayfly, or rise as a legend in Devon's shadows?
