Description

In Echoes: The Lies We Tell Ourselves, you step into the role of a film student desperate to leave his past behind as he begins anew at Oakheart University. To fit in, he plays the part of the confident, charismatic extrovert, though in truth he's a quiet observer who'd rather stay behind the camera than be seen. As the MC, you'll shape his journey while forming connections with six young women, each hiding her own fears, doubts, and carefully constructed illusions. Your decisions will guide whether he can cut through their defenses and confront his own to build something real.

I really like Myth of Slayer by this Dev but the writing in this game painful. If you have to preface your game with a warning about the dialog you might have leaned a little hard into the monologuing.

I didn't know it was possible to cram that much cringe into one game. Literally 100% of what the MC says and thinks is pure edgelord cringe that sounds like it was written by an angsty pre-teen narcissist in the early 2000s emo era.

  I thought some of the dialogue was fine...But some of it is indeed awful. Still a somewhat decent visual novel, but there's lots of room for improvement.
