Description
In Devil's Gambit, you follow Hector, a badger healer who returns to the quiet town of Rannai, the place where his fondest memories were born. He recalls the playful wolves he once called friends, the stories they shared, the lush forest to the east, and the morning mist that greeted each dawn. Above all, he remembers Cadgan: a smaller, younger wolf, a charming troublemaker who left Hector with a tangle of unresolved feelings.
But that was nine years ago, in the days of youth. Now, Rannai has changed under the rule of a new duke, and Cadgan has become a hardened, distant figure more mountain than man. As Hector resumes his healing work and rekindles an old passion, he begins to sense something more than love lingering in the air. Each of his steps causes the trees' roots to stir.
