Description

In Detective Girl of the Steam City, your character is Sophie, and you're a detective in London - Steam City. It's a gritty city known for crime. Your dad was a famous detective, and now you've got to live up to his reputation. It's not an easy task, but you love the city of London more than anything else. The criminals you fight are some of the toughest in the world. Take your job seriously and protect the good folks of Steam City.

How can I save the game?

  I'm using firefox so things might be a bit different if you have a different browser.
  
  1. Go to inspect element for your browser.
  2. Go to 'Storage' and Find 'Local Storage'.
  3.. Look for 'Key' names named "RPG File(n)" and "RPG Global" where (n) is your latest save file/slot.
  NOTICE: I deleted all my other saves except for my most latest save. If you want to ensure your latest game is saved, do follow this step. Otherwise, feel free to experiment.
  4. Copy the "Value" (should be a bunch of weird letter and number combinations) of your latest save file into a txt document, doing the same for "RPG Global" in a separate txt file ON YOUR DEVICE.
  
  There is your latest save on your computer!
  
  To load your saved game, repeat steps 1-2.
  
  If you played on incognito, your save files should have been erased. No files in Local Storage whatsoever.
  
  No biggie.
  
  Add two items. (There's a plus button in firefox on the top-right corner)
  Rename each of the Key's as "RPG File1" and "RPG Global" respectively.
  Paste the values you have in your computer to their respective items.
  
  Your latest save should now be in the first save Slot.
  
  TL;DR: It's tedious.

    Forgot to mention. Do this ONLY if you have no other options left. This is NOT A BETTER ALTERNATIVE. Use it as a last resort or a backup of a backup. It's just better to listen to the admin, it's MUCH safer and less tedious. Some things may break if you brute force it this way.

  The game uses your browser’s cookies to save progress, so your saves might be lost due to:
  • Playing in incognito mode (which doesn’t store cookies).
  • Switching browsers or devices (saves are tied to one browser on one device).
  • The game updating, which can sometimes reset progress.
  • Clearing browser history, which may also delete cookies.
  
  To prevent losing your saves, try playing in a regular browser window, avoid clearing history or cookies, and always use the same browser and device.

1o/10 game this game is so well made. The story is super cute and the art is amazing. The only complaints I have is that the combat is super easy (max out the talking skill with the camera guy to avoid and fights with grunts and level up the steam glove and spam the special move a bunch and heal when your low) and I wish there were more side quest. At the time of writing this I have done the second camera guy and the return of the phantom thief side quest because I can't figure outlaw to trigger them but Ive done everything else beside the 22 mini events (Im not hunting them all down).

It’s a shame that you can’t access half the game on mobile thanks to overworld battles and grappling hooks but I doubt this will ever get a update.

F12 > console > click on the dropdown that reads "top" and select "index.html" > enter below cheats as needed:
