Claire's Quest is a highly-interactive non-linear adult RPG, and you guide Claire around town. She'll meet several refugees, and things turn quite dark after a while. Those who love role-playing games will enjoy all of the interaction. This isn't the type of game that anyone would consider exciting.   Yeah sorry to inform you but thats been an issue with this game ever since it was made a couple of years ago. yes it gets updates with new content and yes Saving is "Technically" possible but for some reason the developer has disabled the load function on it. im not sure if are able to play as intended , but weve had this complaint for a long time now and its never been fixed in any update. if you want to play the game for its story and quests: be prepared for possible fails and make sure you have enough time to fo enough in one session because it takes a while to do all current possible quests. but if you just want to see the scenes, you can unlock the gallery after completing the intro scenario (either original or the harder path) and view them there.

the basilisk boss is really difficult. you have to find where a water source is (top Right) fill up the bucket, then go to the 3 obellisks and clean them up. all while making sure you go to tall grass as fast as possible, else the basilisk gets you, meanwhile there is a timer going off because maude is about to kill the black prince so it completely changes the pace from patiently sneaking around to be quick and know where to go. every time you clean an obelisk the timer gets extended. i didnt make it to the obelisk but my fear is you have to refill the bucket every time you clean one. its really stressfull when you dont know the map, and especially painfull if you fail because it takes forever to get back to that part of the story.

im really annoyed with this game! it has soo much potential and its awesome but not being able to load a safe really cripples this game, especially if you are actually trying to do a questline, i made it to the basilisk but fucked it up because i didnt hide quick enough, now im going game over KNOWING that i cant just load up the last save and have to start back from the beginning, making the entire last hour of gameplay Wasted! if you just want to see the scenes use cheats and unlock the gallery. the story aint gonna be playable untill this game gets fully finished or the load option finally works.

Its a good game but its sad that its been out for a long time and has had multiple updates, yet they still haven't fix the load option and honestly its getting tiresome having to restart every single time I want to play.

  I believe only the premium version has save and load. No load option in this free version is completely intentional.
