In Battle Shrine Maiden Honoka, years have passed since the fateful incident in the City That Never Sleeps, yet war and turmoil still rage across the land. The cycle of endless battles seems unbreakable until a fearsome warrior emerges, a man whose name is whispered in terror. He stands atop mountains of corpses, drinking from a goblet of skulls, a symbol of destruction feared by all. Known as the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven, he is a force of chaos that none dare oppose.

Honoka, once saved by a battle priestess in her youth, devoted herself to the same path, training to become a shrine maiden of war. But when a sacred shikigami meant to be her inheritance is stolen, she sets out on a journey to reclaim it, unaware that her destiny is about to intertwine with the fate of the land itself.
