    For the record that was never an issue. You just had to do it in your room. That way you could access the trunk and get whatever it was back if you ever needed it.
    
    Giving you the ability to drop something anywhere and then go back and pick it up, especially in areas that change, would take far more coding than you'd think and would likely still kick out bugs. That's why you can't drop stuff "anywhere"

  The tag is not there, but it does have such if you agree to such actions with a certain prof you can meet at the restaurant. As long as you choose biology, you can get that and a potential pregnancy ending

Does a person's choice to be a slave or a lover make a difference in the game except for the main characters like the mother and daughter?

  It affects both the following scene with the character and any following scenes (usually)
  
  It can also be changed with most characters by cast the spell again.
  
  Some changes are more minor than others, while some are bigger, take your neighbor for instance. If you enslave "You forget where your room is, don't you?" you get a slutty bimbo. Other path is a lover. Causes some scene variation in any following sequence with her including any story related dialogue. (you can talk to her about the séance article and I think you can mention the hypnosis book to her but I may be mistaken)

  Late as hell, but try inspecting the vase after retrieving it from the museum. it should then appear in the stores area. After cracking it open talk to Monique at the library (after enslaving her, which you should have done by now) and then you can meet her to at the mechanics to unlock shielded charm.
  
  Finally, with spell in hand go to the aquarium and charm the receptionist. Talk to her once or twice and then go back to the hidden room in the alley where you learned the charm spell. Cast clairvoyance and it will tell you a few things appear to be missing from the dragon statue.
  
  Then finally you can go back to the aquarium receptionist and get her to pickup the gem and move it to the hidden room. Once you have all that done, you can use the transformation spell on yourself within the room (assuming you have the crystal w his spirt trapped inside)

  If I recall, talk to Ms Jones at school, and then cast either clairvoyance or pass (forget which is which)
  
  Then, either use the silver ring on Anita or shoot her (exclusive to the murder path). After using the ring you can then charm her, while if you shoot her, she dies obv. I think you can get a game over if you don't do one of these but it's been so long I forget.
