A Petal Among Thorns

Nearly four chapters into the game, and we're only just now seeing each other naked? Like dude, don't give me wrong this is a good game, but freaking hell. It moves at a pace that could kill a Grandma.

I'm in the middle of chapter 3 and I can't help but notice the game starting to lose a lot of what made it special. early on the game does a really good job of making the situation "believable" showing the turmoil of the MC in all this in whether he should be doing what he is with him over the course of the game becoming more comfortable/willing and I think is pretty well justified with the conversations him and petal have. when it gets to the phone call with bliss though is when it jumps the shark with him being way too willing to see his daughter (I know you can choose the relationships, but the game was clearly designed with a father/daughter one in mind) in an overtly sexual way akin to how he sees bliss without any of the previous turmoil or conversations between the two and while i think it remains faithful to petals established character it sorta makes MC feel sleezy in a way I don't think the game trying to. This really wouldn't even be a big deal in another game, it's typical porn game doing typical porn game shit but the game clearly, at least early on, was trying to be something more akin to a proper emotional visual novel and still after this scene tries to with MC trying to check in and 'be a dad' with moon but that moment really falls flat when you remember he just jerked off to his other daughter right after checking in with her. But even outside of that specific example the 'emotional'/'grounded' scenes start to fall flat because the shark has already been jumped and the MC feel a lot less rounded as a character and the game just overall feeling more like something you're supposed to fap to and be done with when in all honesty there probably a lot of "hotter" games on this site to do that to. music's still pretty good tho.

I came here to say everyone shitting on the dynamic of the story of decisions is a fuck moron who never actually bothered to read and pay attention to a god damn thing. 0 stars to the people 5 stars to the writer.

Totally love this trilogy

A very good and solid game indeed. Intelligent and plausible plot for an incest relation (OBS: Make her your daughter or stepdaughter, any other relationship doesn't work) with really good pacing, not too fast fast or ilogic like many other games out there. The LI (Petal) is well written and has a complex personality (she wants to seduce, submit and take control all at the same time), the sex scenes are well animated with hot sound effects. I give 5 stars for this game easy. For a Father-Daughter kinky, this game is perfect.

Ok, so I tried this: I made Petal my sis, so my ex is her sister-in-law. The game asked me to choose something, right? - So, that it would address everyone correct. Thing is: the way all the monologue and dialogue is worded, it becomes very clear, that Petal should be our my ex's daughter. ("Petal looks just like her sister-in-law looked at that age") It just doesn't work with sis and sister-in-law. So: either choose Petal to be your daughter, or your stepdaughter. No other combo will work, the way the game words stuff.
